The Lafayette Jockey Lot will be pairing with Lourdes Blood Donor Center on Saturday,  August 21, 2021. The Blood Mobile will be on-site at the Lafayette Jockey Lot accepting Blood Donations from the hours of 8am – 12 noon. Lourdes has a program where blood donations can be made in a patient’s name and a credit is applied to that patient’s out of pocket expenses.

All donors will receive a free t-shirt, a coupon for a free small ice cream cone and an opportunity to win a $20 Market Buck Coupon.

As many of you may know, our good friend and co-worker Gene Medlen suffered a severe injury in late May. It will be a long road to recovery and he now also faces mounting medical expenses. With all donations Lourdes will donate $27 toward his ever growing medical bill. Anyone donating at the Blood Center can also contribute by simply giving Gene’s name and date-of-birth.
